Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy sessions involve exploring and processing your experiences, thoughts, and emotions in the context of a therapeutic relationship where we work toward your goals together in a collaborative manner. Some sessions will involve exercises, processing emotions, narrative building where you share your story, or we plan, set, or refine goals—it all depends on your needs that day.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist and I am passionate about seeing my clients move toward better things by helping them navigate challenges, find healing through self-exploration, and understanding their experiences and emotions.

As a compassionate companion for the road, I strive to offer you a space that is warm, empathetic, hospitable, and non-judgmental. I use an integrative, trauma-informed approach that draws from aspects of attachment theory, polyvagal theory, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP, Levels 1 and 2), mindfulness, self-compassion, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT informed), and Internal Family Systems (IFS informed).

I take a holistic view of the self which includes attention to the emotional, physical, social, and spiritual aspects of selfhood and tailor therapy to your unique needs, personality, and therapeutic goals. I believe that everyone inherently possesses the skills and gifts that enable healing and connection, and I will journey with you to discover and engage these internal gifts. I also believe that healing and growth takes place in the context of relationship and community, so I will strive to offer a supportive relationship in our work together.
